    How can you make an appointment to see a Careers Advisor?

    • Fill out an Appointment slip in the Student Office foyer 
    • Send an email to Mrs Guilliard at
    • You should receive confirmation of your appointment from your Form Teacher within 48 hours. Please check with Mrs Guilliard if you don't receive this.


    Don't forget to check out the Careers Resource area at the back of the Library.

    The Careers Road Show will be held again in 2019 in Week 3 Term 2 (Wednesday 15 May). Year 11-13 students will be given the opportunity to attend this event and meet with tertiary providers and industry training organisations.

    Occupation Outlook is a resource developed by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to assist students, parents and caregivers explore possible future career goals.

    The Occupation Outlook reports for 2017 have been designed to be one of the first places for young people to look when making a decision on career options and to determine what their chances are of getting a job once they have finished studying.

    40 key occupations are identified in the report, together with a range of factors, including their size, popularity, and potential for future growth.

    Year 13 Ako/Seminar Sessions

    Year 13 Seminar sessions are held evey second Wednesday (Even Week) in Periods 1, 2, 3 and 5 in the Hall.

    This is an opportunity for students to gain careers information and advice from Mrs Guilliard, Careers Adviser, including information on appropriate pathways from school. Seminar sessions will include a variety of guest speaker presentations to assist students in planning their next step. This will include presentations on the following: tertiary providers, budgeting and finance, loans and allowances, applications for limited entry courses, enrolment procedures, applying for accommodation/Halls of Residence, and legal issues.

    Year 13 Seminar is also an opportunity for students to make contact with Careers staff and Year 13 Tutors.
