The Perf music suite is unavailable for practices during the period 04 to 08 August (during Southern Jam) so you will need to organise practices for next week.
Taylor Burn, year 10, has been selected to Represent New Zealand in Sailing at the Optimist World Championships in Langkawi, Malaysia in December 2010. Apart from a small donation from the New Zealand Yachting Trust the $8000 plus per sailor is self-funded. The team put in an application to the Toyota Believe Campaign and are one of the three projects selected from hundreds of applicants to via for $3000 towards their teams fundraising.
All they need is for people to vote for them! It is FREE and only takes a MINUTE

THE OUTLOOK FOR SOMEDAY The 4th The Outlook for Someday sustainability film challenge is at www.theoutlookforsomeday.netThe basic challenge is: make a sustainability-related film, any genre, filmed with any camera and any length up to 5 minutes. Anyone up to age 24 can enter, either individually or in a team. The closing date for entries is 17 September. The 20 Winning Films will be celebrated at The Outlook for Someday Awards red-carpet ceremony towards the end of the year. That is when the Special Awards get announced. The Winning Films will be broadcast by TVNZ 6 on both Freeview (channel 6) and SKY Television (channel 16). And there will be a vote for Audience Favourite. WA
